Little known facts about myself....
- I started painting in 1992 in NY. The class was in an old farmhouse built in the 1800’s. It had a summer kitchen with a big fireplace and was so neat.
- I moved to Florida in 1995. Then became a member of the Tampa chapter and went on to become a founding member of Gulf to Bay Decorative Artists of Sarasota FL. I held every position on the board and was President twice. I teach regularly in Florida and have had a home studio.
- I have attended several SDP conventions, NET, HOOT, Las Vegas, and the OKC Painting Palozza. I've taken classes with many teachers in all mediums.
- I taught with Julie Polderdyke, until her passing and was honorably mentioned on a piece I designed with her which was published in the Decorative Painter in the early 2000’s.
- I work full time as a full charge Bookkeeper, Admin. Assistant, and try to paint daily. Some of my other loves are walking my dog, swimming, and bike riding and now camping in our 20 foot Jayco trailer
- My husband Jim and I have been married for over 45 years.
- We have 2 daughters; Veronica lives in Indiana in a small town of 700. They raise goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, dogs, and cats. Our Grandson is a teenager and loves lifting weights and wrestling. Kristina lives in Florida and is a designer specializing in kitchens and bathroom remodels. She has a 3 children under 7, The oldest has her own art desk and loves to draw & design.
- My husband and I share our home with a 14-year-old Corgi-Border Collie rescue. I took agility classes with her and competed in trials. We have several first-place blue ribbons.
- My biggest joy is to teach a project and see how happy my students are with their accomplishments.
